On Saturday, November 3rd, Hugh along with my Mom and sister threw me a 40th surprise party! Now, I am not quite 40 yet - November 21st is the REAL day, but they wanted to throw me off a bit by having the party early. They did such a good job of sneaking around and hiding things from me. They gave away no clues at all. However, my suspicion arose when the morning of the party, my Mom called to invite us to Spargos for crabs - Jerry's treat! Well, I immediately knew that this could be my party. Trying hard not to giggle or let on that I knew something was up, I gladly accepted the invitation! I was definitely expecting something, especially since I pretty much told Hugh that I wanted to have a party to celebrate this life changing milestone. I just didn't know when??? I was so excited, I could barely get through the day. What would I wear? What would I say? Who would be there? I could tell that Carley and Casey knew nothing about it. They have always been my little informers. I knew they could not have kept this a secret! When we arrived at Spargos, the girls were pleasantly surprised, as was I! I enjoyed the many surprises of this very special celebration, such as the many generous gifts I was given, the delicious food that was served, the scrapbook that my Mom put together of my life, the beautiful flower arrangements that my sister made, and the very special people who were there to share in my celebration. I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who care so much about me. I want to thank everyone who was able to come to the party, but I especially want to thank my Mom and sister for their many days of planning and hard work in making this party a success! Lastly, I would like to thank my husband of 14 years for giving me a moment that I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life!

Some of you were not able to stay for the extended party that took place "Two Doors Down" (the bar/nite club underneath Spargos). To my surprise, a popular local band, Cowtown Revival was playing that night. Some of my school mates are members in this band. They sang Happy Birthday to me! We enjoyed dancing, singing and socializing till closing time! Thanks to all of my "party till the cows come home" friends!
Note: I will post more photos as my family and friends continue to share them with me. Please e-mail me more pics.!
