A group of thirteen of us moms and daughters hopped on Lincoln Bus Tours November 10th and headed to New York City to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. We boarded the bus at 4:30 am. It was a chilly morning - only about 45 degrees and a little drizzly. Our first stop was Blue Mountain Inn for breakfast at 7:00 am. The bus arrived in New York at about 10:15 am leaving us with approximately 2 1/2 hours before the show. We headed down Broadway to M&M World! Next, we headed to Toys R Us for a ride upon the indoor Ferris Wheel. The kids loved it! New York is all about the hustle and bustle, but it seemed particularly crowded on this day. We thought it was maybe because of the writers being on strike and many of the shows being cancelled. Deanna walked down past Time Square and was able to see the picketers. Our group split up at one point. It was too hard to stay together. However, we met back up again at Radio City Music Hall.
The show began at 2:00 pm and was really spectacular! 3-D glasses were handed out for the beginning of the show for a short movie starring Santa Claus himself! In one scene, it actually snowed on the audience. Fireworks, Christmas carols and of course the beautiful Rockettes dancing ins inc really put you in the Christmas spirit! This show could be enjoyed by kids and adults of all ages and I highly recommend it!
After the show, we went to the famous "Roxy's Deli" and ate a $15 sandwich! There was just enough time left to shop for a souvenir before we had to catch the bus to get home before midnight! It was an exciting, fun-filled adventurous day had by all!
