"What To Do??" Part 2

Thank you Colleen for responding to my post about "What To Do" with your kids during summer break. Colleen suggested the Lowes or Home Depot FREE "Make a Project" which are typically held on Saturday mornings at both stores for children ages 5 to 12. For more details click here Lowes Build and Grow or here Home Depot Kids Workshops.

Another store who has free crafts for kids is A.C. Moore. Times and day vary by store. Simply click the store name and go to the store locator to find the nearest one by you!

If you live near a theatre, chances are they are showing FREE movies this summer! RC Theatres are showing FREE movies every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. For shows and show times visit them here RC Theatres.

There is always the obvious, a park or playground - usually it's FREE. Pack a picnic lunch and go for a hike at your local state park.

How about the rail trail. Take your bikes for an adventure that could take hours!! Click here for a listing of where to get on a PA rail trail.

I would LOVE to hear your ideas on how to beat the summer doldrums!! Please send me your ideas - and remember, we are trying to save our pennies and conserve on gas this summer!! You can leave me a comment below.

Tough one. How about packing a picnic and hiking one of the trails. Of course that is only fun if it isn't dreadfully hot or humid!

River Valley Ranch! Free Rodeo! Not far from home. Christian environment and other inexpensive things to do there. Fun for the entire family. They also have free Saturday night concerts! See you DeAnna
