Before we visited Washington DC and Mt. Vernon (see yesterday's post), we thought it would be fun to wear patriotic sweatshirts with quotes from George Washington on the back. My artistic husband was the mastermind behind the whole idea. He purchased the sweatshirts and iron on kit and he designed, printed, and ironed them on!!
He received a comment from a Mt. Vernon staff member praising him for a great idea! Do I sense a business opportunity here?? Here is how they turned out:

So cool! I made our own t-shirts when we were in the cancer walk. Ours said North Harford Hooters Club. No quite as eloquent as G.W.!
Your husband is very creative! what a great idea, and the shirts looked great! The quotes were cool - I had never heard those before. You are teaching your daughters so much, and in such a fun way, too.
I LOVE these! I had no idea those little iron on kits worked SO well! He did a great job with them! I bet they were the hit of Mount Vernon!
