Happy Cat

It seems we will need to become accustomed to having our pussy cat shaved once every year. We had to have her shaved last February (click here to read post) because she developed terrible mats.  And now, a year later, she has once again developed these painful mats in her long, soft hair. The mats are so close to her skin that it is virtually impossible to cut them out one at a time and I will not attempt to shave her myself for fear that she will scratch the sh** out of me that I may cut her tender skin. Brushing her regularly does not help either. She does not groom herself, which the vet says is common with some defective cats.

So, we took our defective litte terror cute little critter once again to the Groomer to have all of her body hair completely shaved off! Believe me, she is much happier now. Colder, but happier.

BS (before shave):

 AS (after shave):
Oh, and by the way, don't let these cute pictures fool ya. Even without her full coat of fluffy hair, she is still a terror - either attacking the dog or the kids when they least expect it!

She's actually a female dog. All cats I have ever had as a pet have had a streek of wild in them. Cooper and I both keep our distance from this little lion.

I have never before heard of shaving a cat!!! She is ADORABLE! I love it. We shave down our dog every few months, he gets pretty darn shaggy if we don't...

You take good care of KIKI...she is lucky to have you as owners. She looks so funny shaved.

Cats are dangerous anyway. Not surprised that this one is as bad as most cats are. Must always be on guard cause they will tear you up... better not to have a cat - get a rodent of some sort, or even a reptile.... or another spouse or go out to dinner - you don't need a cat for that.

So funny! That's why I love reading your blog!
Kitty needs a sweater! I crocheted my cat a sweater ( just overlook that he hates me for it ) and it keeps him warm on our walks.
