Why I Have Neglected My Blog and My Home

I have missed you all! As you can see, I have not been here for a few days, nor have I visited any of my fellow bloggers. I promise to make my rounds through blogland shortly.

Summer time is in full swing here in Southern Pennsylvania. And with all this fabulous warm weather we've been having, we have taken full advantage of our newest pastime...boating.  C.C. Rider has been in and out of the lake more than a dozen times already and she has given us so many hours of enjoyment together with friends and family. This past weekend was no exception. The nearby state park held a huge 3-day celebration complete with fireworks, entertainment, amusement rides, nature exhibits, and craft vendors. It was an event not to be missed for the locals. Hundreds of boaters, and thousands of residents and campers from all over turned out for the festivities.

We will be traveling to the Western part of PA this week for a mini vacation to Raystown Lake. So, once again, I will be away from the computer. Being a boating enthusiast is fun and relaxing, but boy does the housework and my blog get neglected! Hope to check in with you all soon!

Looks like lots of fun! I have to laugh at the "teenaged angst" look that consistently shows up on the face of your oldest daughter in your pictures. I know that face well. LOL.

Oh, and I thought you were going to say "Does this life vest make my butt look big?" on that one caption.
