Shoot Me #20 of 52

My sister and I don't always see eye to eye. In fact, sometimes we say some of the meanest things to each other.  I specifically remember back in my younger days my sister chasing me around the dining room table, as I ran away from her fearing for my life. She could pack a mean punch, ya know. I could never figure out why she always got so angry with me. I'm sure it was never provoked. Even though I am the oldest (can you tell?), she certainly was and still is the toughest.

Of course, these days we no longer have the long drawn out hair pulling skin pinching blood battles. But we do still have our differences from time to time. We fight, we patch up. We laugh at jokes that no one else understands. We defend each other when no one else will. We understand each other without even saying a word.

The best thing about having a sister is that I will always have a forever friend....

Is it Thursday already? Every Thursday I will be participating in "Shoot Me" hosted by Forever In Blue Jeans. You too can play. Click here to sign up and to see the other participants. Here are the rules:

Shoot Me! It's time to stop hiding behind that camera of yours. Your family is missing you in the picture. So it's time to post a picture of YOU (yes, you) every Thursday with your child, your spouse, your friend, your dog, or even by yourself. Just get in the picture, you'll be glad you did!

Awww...you actually brought a tear to my eye. Even though we have our differences, it's comforting to know I have you in my corner and that you truly will always be my BFF.

P.S. I wish we would have swaped flip flops before our picture was taken

I lost one of my 3 sisters to leukemia in 1994.
one of the things we all did was really spooky for other people.
Someone would say something that might spark something and usually two of us (or maybe all of us) would start singing the same song... in the same key.

It was wild. I see one sister fairly often. We still say things at the same time.

My sister and I just found each other...the bond we're forging is different from that of friends. Forever is such a wonderful goal. You look so happy together.

both of you are both beautiful women!! I think it is neat your sister lives close to you; I think sisters always have that type of relationship; we are our best friends, love each other, fight for each other.....but sometimes we just don't see eye to eye indeed!

Sisters make the best friends and the best enemies. There just isn't anything else quite as wonderful as a sister.

I have a very similar history/relationship with my sister.

Did you change your background? I like it.

I just waxed my arm hair. It hurt. It's on the blog.

Love the new background and this is a great shot.

Great Idea. I have so many photos of family that are not here to share my littlest kiddos..
