A Man's Dream

He wants charcoal. I want propane. So, we ended up with both. This two-in-one combo grill is as exciting to the serious backyard barbecue enthusiast as tools are to Tim the Tool Man Taylor.

This baby is equipped to cook up to 60 burgers at one time and includes a side burner to warm your beans! (insert grunt here)

Here, FW slow cooks a roast (from our *Bessie collection) on the charcoal side. He placed Apple Wood Chips soaked in water and placed in aluminum foil on top of the hot coals for added flavor. Cooper never left his side.

I marinated our *Bessie roast in the most delicious "Black Sauce" for 4 hours prior to grilling. Here is the recipe:

2 medium onions finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic
8 oz. soy sauce
2 oz. Gravy Master or Kitchen Bouquet
2 tsp. Beau Monde seasoning

Combine the above ingredients in blender and marinade for at least 4 hours at room temperature.

*Bessie is the neighbor's steer that was slaughtered to feed our steak loving family of four. I apologize to those who may be sesitive to killing animals or to those who may be opposed to eating meat.

And now for your viewing pleasure and a good laugh, I have included a clip of Tim the Tool Man Taylor and Al showcasing the "Man's Kitchen". These episodes still crack me up.

I'm a huge fan of Home Improvement, so you don't need to say anything more! Your Hub looks like he is right at home. I'll have to make a note of your recipe. Thanks!
