More About My Boots & Toby

When I knew we would be attending the Eric Church and Toby Keith country music concert the other night at the York PA Fair, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to dig out my cowgirl boots from the back of my closet. I have not wore my boots in years - many many years, in fact. The minute I put them upon my feet, a rush of memories came back to me.  I remember the day I purchased those ol' boots from a Country Western store in Florida. I think the year was 1992. I was living in Orlando at the time. And I remember I paid a pretty penny for them too. I wore them alot back then. And I continued to wear them even after I got married and moved back to Maryland in 1993. It was then that my favorite pass time was country line dancing.  Those boots sure did alot of boot skootin' in the 90's.

My how time flies. Twenty years later and I can't believe I still have my boots. I am not one to hold onto things, especially clothing and shoes. When I dug them ol' boots out of the closet and blew off the dust, they still looked brand new!  I still love them now, just as much as I loved them the day I bought them. I intend to hold onto my boots and who knows, one day (hopefully a long time from now), I will be sent to my grave in them! Just make sure my outfit matches the smoky blue color. You know how I am about matching.

For those country music fans, here are some photos and a brief video clip from the other night. I'll bet there is no other country music singer who is truly more proud to be an American than Toby Keith. His music sent chills up my country girl spine.
Yes, I was that close to the stage:

Gee, I got rid of my boots. Wished I held onto them now. Good shots of Toby. Too bad about your boots. What happened anyway?

How fun! And to be so close to the stage. I'm a huge fan of country music (saw Brad Paisley last year) -- used to have favorites, but now so many guys and gals have such great songs to sing along to. Love the boots and line dancing!
