Friday's Fences

I'm cheating just a bit. I posted this pic a while ago, but it's one that I've always admired, plus I wanted to play along in the new Friday Photographay Challenge hosted by Life According to Jan & Jer (otherwise known as my mama), entitled "Friday's Fences". Click below to play along.

I, for one, am happy you posted this shot again since I missed it the first time around. Not only is the barn amazing, but so is the fence. Brilliant!

Now this is the type of fence I love to shoot! And I love that barn...you should link this to Tricia's Barn Charm meme if you haven't already...it opens up on Monday evenings and usually stays open two or three days now.

I'm going to say that the farmer no longer needs that fence--sold all his cows-got tired of getting up before daylight to milk. Love how you've added texture to this photo, Kelly. It looks like a watercolor painting or colored pencil drawing.

Old fences have character and the one in your photo is no exception. If you listen, it will tell wondrous tales of livestock and seasons, of births and deaths, of journeys and homecomings.
