A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

So far, the year 2012 has been unproductive and uneventful. I know, I know... it is only the third week into the new year, but I can't help but already feel a little bit of the winter time blues. I am fighting it. I realize how blessed I am to have a job, my health, a warm and cozy home, a loving husband, two wonderful daughters, yada, yada, yada.  Maybe I just miss my mom, who always goes South this time of year to get away from the cold. Maybe I feel a little let down after all the holiday hype. Maybe I am bored (insert sad violin music here). I think I am just in a funk today. Tomorrow is a whole new day.

I have recently come up with a theme word for myself for the year 2012. It is a word that I keep using over and over. It is a word used to describe things I have witnessed recently, like Tim Tebow's winning TD pass over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. It is the word....a-m-a-z-i-n-g.  I know that these amazing things were only possible by the power of God and I am truly amazed by Him and how He works wonders in our lives. I am reminded that I am amazing in God's eyes and I believe I will accomplish some amazing things this year.

Lord, I am amazed by you...

You will laugh when I say one of the reasons I quit watching "The Bachelor" is because every other sentence was "She's amazing" "He's amazing." But then, they weren't talking about Tim Tebow's pass either. I haven't been watching football this season... and that is amazing, too. ha ha. I used to be such a fan!

I always get the mid-January blues. I think "amazing" would be a great word for the year!

It's good that you're expressing your feelings because you'll find that a lot of people feel the same way. Must be something about January...and February...and March

I'm feeling a bit in a funk myself. I like the idea of choosing a word, and then using it to lift me up. Amazing works for me! :-)
