A Grateful Heart

My Photography Club's latest homework assignment was to take an "interesting" photo in a favorite room of our home. Rather than the normal everyday posed photo, try to capture a moment, a feeling, an emotion. Becoming a good photographer is not always about the equipment you use, but how you take the photo. It's all about capturing moments in time and things you will remember. Think outside the box, try a different angle, go behind the scenes, etc.

This photo tells a story. It is my daughter meditating or praying. She is sitting in the breakfast room, which is the brightest room in our home. I wonder what she is thinking? Is she sad? Or, Is she thanking God for a beautiful sunny day?

I bet she’s thinking if only those bananas were ripe...or maybe she’s taking in the warmth of the sun

That is a great shot, filled with wonder of what is going through her head. Did she know you were taking the picture?

I hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving Kelly :)
