I was just at a gathering Tuesday night and realized how different I am from many others in regards to texting. It's funny, though, I had to go home early with the kids and decided for fun to send a text to my husband. At 11:30 I got a call telling me he would be coming home. I asked him if he got the text - he said "no, I just flipped the phone open and called!" He didn't read it until he got home! So much for being in touch all the time!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13626432491576865096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557876801421601291.post-49306459475989476492010-02-03T11:17:38.456-05:002010-02-03T11:17:38.456-05:00I think texting is the new rage- replacing phone c...I think texting is the new rage- replacing phone calls, emails, handwritten notes, etc.

Did you see the Little People, Big World episode when the youngest boy sent something like 8000 text messages and they did NOT have an unlimited plan? Do not text when I am speaking to you or asking a question. No texting while eating at the dinner table. No texting when we have company over. That is just rude.

I hate people who talk or text while driving.Debshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11963415628329688537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557876801421601291.post-79189742289366438132010-01-31T17:03:01.964-05:002010-01-31T17:03:01.964-05:00If I want any dialog at all with my 14 year old gr...If I want any dialog at all with my 14 year old grandson (in california) I have to text himPamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05404943895800549273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557876801421601291.post-91307916401493622632010-01-29T16:00:47.308-05:002010-01-29T16:00:47.308-05:00The Christmas I got my son a cellphone I didn'...The Christmas I got my son a cellphone I didn't think texting was that big of a deal. Until like ya'll I received the bill. You were easier on yours than I was. I blocked his texting completely. To me 3500 in one month for one person was just uncalled for. Then when my step-daughter got one oh my, I know what you mean about the texting. That's all she does. She has made the statement that she would die without her phone. Can you guess her age? Probably somewhere close to one of yours. lolThenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03080056293865201373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557876801421601291.post-42555309387637298252010-01-29T16:00:12.563-05:002010-01-29T16:00:12.563-05:00Oy, we've been through that. On the other hand, one can't call clandestinely while in class, can one?

I my classroom it was well known that a child caught texting during lessons would have the cell phone confiscated until his/her parent contacted me.quillyhttp://quilldancer.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557876801421601291.post-23767419329160991202010-01-29T12:26:23.595-05:002010-01-29T12:26:23.595-05:00Hehe...I love the picture.
