It seems we will need to become accustomed to having our
pussy cat shaved once every year. We had to have her shaved last February (click here to read post) because she developed terrible mats. And now, a year later, she has once again developed these painful mats in her long, soft hair. The mats are so close to her skin that it is virtually impossible to cut them out one at a time and I will not attempt to shave her myself for fear that she will scratch the sh** out of me that I may cut her tender skin. Brushing her regularly does not help either. She does not groom herself, which the vet says is common with some defective cats.
So, we took our
defective litte terror cute little critter once again to the Groomer to have all of her body hair completely shaved off! Believe me, she is much happier now. Colder, but happier.
AS (after shave):
Oh, and by the way, don't let these cute pictures fool ya. Even without her full coat of fluffy hair, she is still a terror - either attacking the dog or the kids when they least expect it!
