Fun Monday - My Fridge Blog

Not only does my family go to the refrigerator for a yummy treat or an ice cold drink, but they will also approach the refrigerator to take a look at what's happening in the upcoming week. You see, our refrigerator holds a wealth of information and news as well as moldy bread and cheese. Faye from Summit Musings is hosting this week's Fun Monday and this is her assignment:

.....share a photo of your refrigerator door. What do you have displayed on it? What does this focal point of your kitchen say about you and your family?

The outside of my refrigerator door is broken down into 6 informational areas:

1. The school lunch menu
2. The weekly calendar of events, appointments, birthdays, etc.
3. House rules (A daily reminder of what is allowed and not allowed when a parent is not at home)
4. Invitations
5. At-a-glance telephone numbers
6. The Baltimore Raven's Football schedule

I like to keep it organized and clutter free, although sometimes it is hard to do with the kids. The occasional art work, A+ paper, decoration or photograph will earn the weekly spotlight. I guess you could say my refrigerator is one big magnetic blog! When you have a family to run, the refrigerator is a great place to organize this type of information.

Thanks for hosting again this week, Faye!

You too can play Fun Monday, just click here to sign-up and/or to view the complete list of participating blogs.

I like it!! so much fun to see what your fridge doors look like. I have a fridge made out of aluminum I guess, not metal, so nothing sticks to it :( Usually, though I would have magnets and whatnot on it. thanks for sharing with us :)

enjoy the week ahead!

I knew your "fridge blog" would be organized, CL! And you're so right--what better place to post the important stuff than where it will get in the way--and thus get the attention--of hungry and thirsty people. Does Cooper have any specific rules on the list? I'm sure he can read. . .

Thanks for playing this week. And, if you have the day off, enjoy! Boating days will soon be coming to an end for the season?

That is the nicest looking fridge front I have ever seen. I think we have crud from 9 years ago still on that thing. Good to see you have a Ravens schedule though. The important things are covered.

Your display is very organized, which of course is very useful. A list of house rules is a fabulous plan, right there in black and white and easy-to-find.

We are so computer oriented that almost everything is on the pc! We'd be lost without it! As you can see, my fridge is not nearly so organized!

Wow... SO organized! That's the kind of fridge I'd have if I lived alone. I gave up using the fridge as information central a while ago. Now I have a bulletin board with a calendar and other important appointment notices on it on the wall opposite the bathroom. At least that way, I know everyone is going to see it!

Our refrigerator used to be so out of control that I banned anything from being posted on the new one when we moved. It all gravitated to the fridge in the garage. -__-

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your
blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content
so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful
lot of text for only having 1 or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
