Here is what you need to make the cookies:
1. Prepare your lettuce by adding a 1/2 Cup of coconut to a plastic baggie. Add green food coloring to the coconut and shake. Set bag aside.
3. Prepare your "top buns" by spreading egg white on top of a Nilla Wafer and then sprinkling a few sesame seeds on top. Set aside.
4. Assemble cookies by placing a small dab of vanilla frosting on flat side of Nilla Wafer "bottom bun". Top each with a peppermint cookie “burger,” pressing lightly to adhere. Spread on "cheese" icing atop the "burger". Pipe on yellow and red frosting to resemble mustard and ketchup on top of the "burger". Sprinkle with coconut “lettuce,” pressing to adhere. Place a small dab of vanilla frosting on flat side of remaining cookies "top bun" and press, frosting side down, gently on coconut.
These adorable cookies will be a delicious treat at your next cookout and there is no grilling required! Your kids will enjoy making them as much as they love eating them, but keep in mind there is absolutely no nutritional value in these babies!
