Live To Ride

This past Friday afternoon FW and I attended Harley Davidson's Open House in York, PA. Mainly because FW wanted to "test drive" some of the 2012 Harleys. The Vehicle Operations Center in York, PA is where some of the bikes are assembled and parts such as the fuel tanks, frames and fenders are made. You can also take a tour of the manufacturing facility any day throughout the week from 9-2.

During the open house, they allow guests to demo ride a variety of  brand new Harleys on a 12 mile route near the facility. FW test drove 3 different models - The Dyna Fat Bob, Softtail Fat Boy and the Touring Street Glide. I hung out on the back and went along for the ride!

While FW went to the Open House in high hopes of liking the Fat Bob, he ended up preferring the Fat Boy. And so did I. The back passenger seat sets up higher for added comfort, the ride is smoother and the motor is balanced.  I even preferred the Fat Boy over the Street Glide, as a passenger that is.

What names! Nice that you and FW enjoy this sport together. My neighbors bike almost every weekend. During the week he's on the lawn mower after work ,but on the weekend they don their bandannas and take to the road. Have you put the pontoon to bed for the season yet?
