Are the persons in these photos trying to set a new fashion trend in 2011?.....or are they experiencing an "ugly sweater phenomenon"?......or are they merely attending an Ugly Sweater theme party?
"Ugly Sweater Party's" seem to be a growing trend these days. They have evolved over the years from the original Ugly Sweater "Christmas" Party to Ugly Sweater "Anytime" Party. No matter when you decide to host your party, just remember the 3 key elements - - festive food & drinks, quirky games & prizes and most importantly, intentionally, hideous sweaters.
Some of the attending guests at our recent Ugly Sweater Fall Party dug out vintage sweaters from their attic storage. Some decorated their outdated sweaters with spray paint. Some ripped bigger holes in their already worn-out sweaters and some went rummaging at their local thrift stores to find a truly unique one-of-a-kind sweater at a discounted price!
Prizes were awarded to the ugliest sweater wearers by way of silent voting.

One on one those sweaters wouldn't be nearly as bad as they are all in the same room at the same time.
Oh, my! How did you narrow down to one winner? So many choices! Especially loved Freedom Rider's sweater with all those little "tails". :-) Back when I was still working we had a state convention in early December and all the women wore their Christmas sweaters. Another opportunity for ugly sweater winners.
What a cute idea for a party! Looks like everyone was having a lot of fun and boy were there some interesting sweaters there!

Oh I don't know! Your sweater does not seem quite as ugly as some of them, AND I am not a great fan of black so that says it all! LOL Maybe you should all just be honest and call it the 80's sweater party!
Wow! Looking at the pictures, there was a lot of ugly going on. I had a lot of fun and it since everyone participated, that made it even more fun.
I'm there next year if this is going to be an annual thing! Had tons of fun! Including hunting for my ugly sweater! Great party!
LOL! I was bummed we couldn't make it. Looks like a great time.
