You may wonder what these three things have in common?? Well, nothing except that this is what my entire 4 day weekend consisted of. Remember in a previous post that I was "bragging" how I got the flu shot and that I most likely would not get the flu?? Well, I was wrong and I need to honor my promise to Hugh that he could take my SICK PICTURE and post it on my blog. So beware.... this is ME SICK, sipping my tea, wrapped up in my cozy quilt, watching Nascar - The Daytona 500. Speaking of Nascar, it was not a very exciting race throughout - hardly any yellows. It got somewhat exciting in the end - lots of crashes, although nothing serious. The peak of the race was in the end when Ryan Newman snuck up around Tony Stewart during the last 8 laps and crossed the finish line! (Sorry Stewart fans). But, it would not have happened without the help of his team mate, Kurt Busch who got up behind Newman and pushed him right around Tony!! Carley explained it like this, "It was like one dog sniffing another dog's butt"! Gotta love Nascar!
Anyway, getting back to my illness... I had a weekend project planned since I had a nice long four days to finally get something done. I intended to paint and remodel the girl's upstair's bathroom. Needless to say, this project will have to wait until next weekend. I have all the materials, so it will just be a matter of finding the motivation and being able to get it done in a two-day weekend! The girls are still not feeling well. Carley was running a fever all weekend and Casey has been hacking her head off! All in all, it was a really boring weekend, especially for the kids. The highlight for them was a game of Yahtzee and Scrabble and then we topped it off with ice cream sundaes! At least we shared some good quality time together!

I am so sorry to hear you guys are sick! I am finally, finally getting better from my terrible head cold.
Oh, and I am a Stewart fan, but if he didn't win, I am glad that Newman did. He rocks too. I really like his wife. Ver y down to earth!
Feel better!
Thanks Tracey! It (the flu) seems to be an epidemic this year! Glad you are well, finally!
