I would like to stick to the apple theme this week and bring back a simple, yet popular recipe that originated for me when Casey was in Preschool. Crescent Roll Apple Turnovers is simple and makes a great after school snack! All you need is:
1 Can Crescent Rolls
Apples (peeled and sliced)
Sugar
Cinnamon
Directions:
Lay out crescent roll triangles and flatten a little
Place 2-3 apple slices on each triangle
Put about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon on top of the apples
Roll up crescent triangle and pinch together
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for 10-12 minutes

A short cut to this recipe is to use a can of apple pie filling. I know how busy all you moms are out there.
