The lovely Gattina from Belgium is our Fun Monday hostess this week and she has asked us to show a picture of a messy place, whether it be a room in our home or a messy junk drawer.
Well Gattina, I would like to think that I am the perfect housekeeper, but that is simply not true. I have many "hidden" messy places throughout my home from my kitchen junk drawer to my kids bedrooms. I try to keep the house somewhat tidy and always clean, but because of my busy lifestyle with 2 active children and 2 pets, it isn't always easy.
I could show you many messy places, but for today, I chose the one place in my home that has been bugging me for a loooooong time. It is our garage. My husband will probably cringe after reading this post, (love you honey!) so in his defense, I must inform you that he has been working very slowly hard on cleaning up and organizing the garage. It is a "work in progress", as I like to call it. And after we get it all done, I promise to show you the "after" pictures. Ok, here goes.......[thought to self : I can't believe I am showing this to the world...take deep breath...]
Ok, the mess speaks for itself. But just wait until we get these babies (pictured below) and fill them with the mess pictured above. I figured, at least the mess won't be visible anymore!

Those lovely cupboards in your second picture are in your GARAGE? They are nicer than the cupboards in my kitchen! (And if I were to participate in this, I think I'd just take a picture of my desk!)

LOL! I cannot see any mess, its all so organized! Love the cupboards though, we have a couple like that in our garage! Shame everything does not fit in them though!

That isn't bad at all! My messiest place is the unfinished basement. It is the catch all for all the junk ;0)
For a garage it looks very neat ! you should see ours, hadn't thought of it, lol ! and then as we say Rome wasn't built in one day, so I understand that your hubby is not in a hurry !

But I LOVE the cupboards! I WANT some.
I'm reading quite a bit of good humor in this ongoing "discussion" between you and husband about the progress, or lack thereof, in getting the family garage ready for Garage Makeover of the Year Competition. Made me smile. Now the rea question: can you park two cars in there yet?
As far as I'm concerned that is very tidy I would be more than happy if my garage looked like that.
