The lovely Janis and not to mention my wonderful Mom from Life According to Jan and Jer is this week's Fun Monday hostess and this is what she wants to know:
Since September is just around the corner, all the TV shows will be having their premiers throughout the month. What kind of TV viewer are you? Do you like sitcoms or do you prefer drama. Are soap operas your cup of tea or murder mysteries. Game, variety and reality shows are big this year too. These are just a few examples. Share with us your favorite shows and why you like it or them so much.
Well, pretty much all of my free time in the evenings is spent blogging instead of watching TV shows. But, sometimes I will turn on the tube while I am blogging. During the summer months, I seldom turn the TV on except to catch the news in the mornings, or the Weather Channel. Of course when the Winter months set in, TV viewing becomes part of the normal routine. Without a doubt, I never miss a season of American Idol, which usually does not begin until January. Immediately following Idol on Tuesday evenings, I usually catch the Fringe, which is a crime/murder mystery show. I watch the TODAY Show every morning while I am getting ready to begin my work day at the church and other than that, I sometimes watch Grey's Anatomy on Thursday evenings.
There you have it. I am not much on watching TV and I never fret over missing an episode of my favorite show. I would rather blog, read a book, clean my house, play a family game, etc.
Happy Fun Monday everyone! Please be sure to check out what the other participants are sharing here.

I love Project Runway and Top Chef. I love the Food Network, too (especially the challenges). So I guess that makes me a reality TV gal. I also love the morning news on WGN (a local station.) What a fun question!
Its nice that you watch American idol as a family, something you all can share. You are one busy Mom thats for sure. Thanks for playing Kelly and Happy FM
My TV got more "on" time this weekend with the Girl-Child here than it has enjoyed in all of its two years with us. We just aren't much for watching.
I think I'm possibly the only person is America who has never watched one episode of American Idol. LOL. It leaves me with little to talk about at the water cooler some days.
sometimes i find that a game show or cooking show is nice to relax to in the summer. but i agree, other than that, i hate having the tv on. weekends too. i'd rather NOT have the tv on during the weekend at all!
used to watch Grey's Anatomy but now I lost interest. American Idol interests me towards the end especially when there is an underdog
We have a similar show here as American Idols, but I don't like it so much.
I can understand your daughter with the CSI series, all these blood and gut stuff makes me rather laugh it's too exaggerated !
You know me...I'm a true American Idol follower. Can't wait for that to begin. Grey's Anatomy comes on too late for me.
Oh dear - I thought I visited yesterday, sorry! :-( Anyway - I also blog while I'm watching TV. Glad I'm not the only one! Happy belated FM to you!
The computer rules for me too. I think American Idol is probably similar our X-Factor. I know I would like Grey's but I never managed to stay up late enough to watch it.
