Sayre Smiles is our lovely Fun Monday hostess this week and she has given us a photo challenge. Sayre would like to see a photo of our pet(s) up close and personal. The challenge is to take this photo at close range! It isn't always easy to have your pet hold still for a photo, so it should be fun to see what everyone can capture! Just click on Sayre's link above to see all the pet photos.
We spent a good part of our Saturday spreading top soil along our driveway to prepare it for grass seed. It was this time last year that our long driveway was finally paved and we are now just getting around to growing grass alongside it.
In between shoveling and grading, our yellow lab, Cooper kept getting in the way. He loves to lay in the cool dirt. So, I was able to capture a few close-up photos of his muddy nose! Notice the dirt on his tongue, teeth and around his lips. Ewwww!
Can you see the smile on his face?
He is most happy either in the dirt or on the boat and in the water!

Cooper is like a big over grown kid...always getting into trouble. He still has a lot of play in him..hopefully he will settle down soon.
Our lab love to dig in dirt. LOL He hates water...so I think he is a "little off" lol.
Love the pics of your lab. :)
Yep, just doing his job - supervising, and tasting. He's a handsome guy.
HA! I love the dirt on the nose. He is obviously loving to dig.
That must have been a day in heaven for him! Gorgeous photos - love the dirt on the nose!
That is pretty silly. Your dog is pretty cool. I'd get a dog if I could ensure that it was one like that.
I am glad I stumbled across your blog. I live in Utah, but I LOVE PA - my second favorite state by far. So beautiful there and the people are generally so kind. Keep up the good work, church lady.
My husband was so persnickety -- he didn't want the dog in the boat because of all the hair - and how hard it was to clean.
And that poor dog wanted to go boating so bad.
Your dog is blessed. Indeed!
Oh - how I adore Cooper! Such a handsome fellow. While a heaping helping of dirt isn't my idea of a tempting appetizer, to each their own. I love Cooper's appetite for life and that beautiful big Labrador grin...how wonderful! Thank you for sharing him with us!
Mud + water = Cooper's favorite place.
I love Yello Labs. I had one named Georgie who adored me as much as I adored him. He died 19 years ago and I still miss him.
Grandmother what nice teeth you have! And I'm with M, I just adore Cooper in all his essential Labness. These photos are just fabulous--should be a framed collection. I guess labs are the original party animals? Well done!
What excellent photos my friend. I love the dirt on the nose. Beautiful dog :) Have a great week ahead :)
What lovely photos! How lucky to have such a fun dog! I so like his neckerchief...you'd never get our two to wear one. Cooper looks so smart. Great close-up views too.
What a gorgeous boy! Love the dirt on his nose, reminds me of my old girl, she used to do that all the time :-(
So cute! I love that smile. Great pictures. Love the dirt.
