While Some Moms Are Relaxing In A Soaking Tub....

I patiently wait while I video tape a spider catching her prey in her newly woven web on the front porch of my house.

After waiting and taking several different video clips, I finally captured the spider making a kill. A beetle flew directly into the center of her web making it an easy catch. She quickly traps her catch with her silk wrapping it tightly and saving it for later to eat.

Did you know that it is common for a spider to eat its own web after it is done with it? The silk proteins are thus recycled.

Here is the footage for all you arachnid heads out there.

Fast forward to 1:49 for the kill.

As much as I hate spiders, they're pretty amazing little creatures. You know I'm going to have nightmares tonight from watching your video. Thanks a lot!

You're on a roll, Kelly! First hornworms and now spiders. We are drawn to nature's creatures no matter what they look like or how afraid we might be of some of them. All amazing in their own way.

I do not write a great deal of remarks, however I
browsed a few responses on this page "While Some Moms Are Relaxing In A Soaking Tub....".
I actually do have a few questions for you if
it's allright. Could it be simply me or do a few of the remarks come across like they are left by brain dead visitors? :-P And, if you are posting on additional online social sites, I'd like to keep up with everything
fresh you have to post. Could you list of every one of your shared sites like
your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
