I am lucky to live so close to one of America's top tourist attractions - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It is where the famous battle of the American Civil War took place in July of 1863. Whenever my hubby and I get the chance for a day or night out together, we normally end up in this quaint town less than 30 minutes from our home. We like to go to the Dobbin House Tavern for a cold beer and a sandwich, which is what we did on this cold and foggy day. Because of the weather, Gettysburg was like a ghost town. I didn't mind though. It was nice to take photos without all those tourists in the way!
This particular fence is called a "worm fence" because of it's zig zag formation. It was and still is a popular type of fencing used in this part of PA because of the rocky terrain. There is no need to dig post holes, which makes it quick and easy to build.
Jan's Blog and have a fantastic Friday!
