I used to think I could paint and draw when I was younger. After all, creativity seemed to run in my family with my dad and grandmother. But when I look back at my art work, it's obvious I did not end up with the creativity gene at all:
Watercolor By: Kelly |
My oldest daughter has been drawing and sketching and painting and molding and crafting since she was just a toddler and I am amazed at how she has grown in her creativity. Currently, she is taking an advanced art class in high school. She has art work displayed in the school's administration offices, and she has had work published in a local art magazine.
In her latest project entitled "Wiz", she used conte' crayons to sketch a portrait of rapper, Wiz Khalifa. Like a true artist, she procrastinated until the day before her project was due, staying up til 3 a.m. to complete it.
I'm just so dang proud of her work. I pray that she will use her God given talent and realize that it can be beneficial to others in some way.

So proud of you Carley!! That deserves to be framed and displayed proudly.
Very nicely done!! Maybe she does her best work under pressure at 3 a.m. in the morning? But still very well done!! I am like you, Kelly, I would love to draw but can't, but I do enjoy looking at others with that talent!

I saw this on Casey's FB n thought it was through one of those editing apps
This is AWESOME...Carley has inherited her talent from her POP POP and you,,it is God given and I hope she will pursue it into her future.

BTW...don't underestimate your art talent Kelly...you a have a great eye for some awesome photography!!!
I stood in the wrong line too! Unlike our grandmother, my dad and my brother, I can't draw a straight line. We are very fortunate to have other talents Kelly! Carley is very talented. I look forward to seeing more of her work. :)
