"The Greatest Prayer is Patience"
Many thanks to my blogger friends who prayed for rain in my corner of the world. The crops and the grass and the shrubs and flowers are all getting a good dose of rain, as we have had some nice steady showers over the past few days.
Do you have a refreshing drink you especially like in the summer time? A sweet tea, cold lemonade, or a frozen Margarita? How bout an iced coffee? Lately, iced coffee has been my specialty drink this summer. I enjoy mixing up my tall "to go" cup with some crushed ice and then filling it with an iced vanilla coffee brewed fresh from my Keurig machine. Then, I top it with a squirt of low-fat whipped cream! When you can't beat the summer time heat, you may as well sit in your rocker on the front porch and enjoy your iced coffee. That is where you will find me this time of year.
Just another one of life's little blessings.

Yum...it does sound delish...although, I can't wrap my mind around iced coffee....I like mine piping hot in the morning.
I just can't get myself to drink cold coffee or eat coffee ice-cream. No thanks but your picture would be great to use as a marketing ad.
thanking the Lord for the rain he sent!! glad the land is getting refreshed through the moisture.
yum on your coffee drink!! I have one of those machines too; I need to duplicate your drink, never thought of pouring the coffee over ice....thanks for the idea!!
my favorite summertime drink.....probably a big glass of water, that always seems to quench my thirst

We received a wonderful FIVE inch rain the other day...one drop every five inches...we need rain, too ! We don'g get very many rains. I guess that's why they call it a desert.
I love my Keurig ! I'm drinking green tea I made in it right now...over ice.
Can't wait to try your recipe.
As far as my favorite, there are several:
Hot coffee or tea early in the morning, with lots of cream...and honey
Ice cold water...most of the rest of the day
Milk...if it's with warm chocolate chip cookies
Port wine...if it's with dark chocolate
don'g...that's a new contraction for don't get...
A blended iced Chai Tea Latte.
with a shot of coconut flavoring. mmmmmmmmm
I have a friend who owns a coffee shop. she makes the BEST mocha milk shakes! Yum!
Looks tasty. It's iced tea all the way over here.
An Arnold Palmer--mix of half iced tea and half lemonade. Always keep pitcher of each in the fridge at the ready during these dog days of summer.
Hope you all are enjoying your first summer on the water in the new boat, CL.
