Our annual trip to Hershey Park was a blast! This year, we were accompanied by 8 other family members and friends as we embarked on a full day of thrilling amusement rides and tons of laughs! And, because I want your next trip to the amusement park to be a fun and non-stressful day, here are some of CL's special tips and advice just for you!
To ensure that you have enough energy for the day's excitement, you should make sure you get a nap on the drive to the park (unless you are the driver, of course!).
Prior to entering the park, it is requested that you check your height to see what rides you are eligible to ride.
Upon entering the park, be sure to grab a map of the park so that you can decide where to go first! It always helps to have someone give you a quick lesson on how to read a map first.
Don't forget to designate a "meeting spot" in case someone in your party should get separated from the group. Remember cell phones can lose their charge, get wet or worse...lost!
One is never too old to ride the Merry Go Round.
Always hold on tight with both hands when riding.
Be prepared to do ALOT of walking throughout the day. Comfortable shoes are a must, Dr. Scholls' or shoe inserts are recommended for the seniors.
Don't forget to slow down and take some photos to remember the day.
Be prepared for alot of screams due to rides like this one.
Or this one...
And then there is the waiting in line....sometimes up to an hour.
If you have stress medication, you may want to bring it along due to rides like this one....
Most of all, you will want to remember your day at the park, so be sure to bring along your camera, preferably in a small waterproof back pack!

What?! All that and NO chocolate?! ;)
It tlooks like a good time was had by all.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Hershey Park! That wooden coaster is the best. Looks like you had a good time.
I agree with Quilly. Where's the chocolate? I'm sure that would have given energy for the late afternoon. Looks like ya'll had a blast though.
Today I am recovered from our FUN Hershey Park Day! It was a wonderful time, we enjoyed every minute of it.
What a grand tradition, CL. Another one for the "fond childhood" memory bank.
I've visited Hershey for a conference. Loved all that chocolate everywhere. Imagine if had gone to the amusement park as well! BTW, I'm remembering a special school for troubled children--Milton perhaps? Is it still there? Very impressed with efforts to help children with educational programs and group home living.
That first roller coaster? Not going anywhere near it.
Great tips CL. Riding the race cars was about all the excitement I could take but I really enjoyed watching and hearing everyone's thrilling stories. It was a perfect day!!
So much fun! We always had cheerleading competitions there.
Have you ever been to Kennywood?
