A Room Fit For A Queen (or at least for a 14-YO Girl)

I finally completed my oldest daughter's room makeover. She picked the colors and furniture. I did the painting and decorating. We kept one piece of her old furniture (the vanity shown in the second photo) and I plan to paint it black sometime this spring. In all my hurriedness, I neglected to take a "before" photo. Prior to the makeover, her room was painted a pale yellow with cream color furniture, which was handed down from my niece. Some of the final touches to the new room included the black chandelier (a floor model clearance item from Lowes) and the tulips canvas painting (a $20 bargain from Ross Dress For Less). Here is how Funny Face's room turned out.

Voila! Although this fabulous re-do was surely more effort than a sweeping there you have it! That wall color is just luscious and with all the bits and pieces you located it just looks so pulled together. Good job from the DIYers. What's next?

Gorgeous colors and beautiful comforter! Doesn't it amaze you how many lovely color palettes there are to choose from. Of course black goes with anything. Great job! I'm sure she loves it.
