Colonel Mustard Did It In The Library...

The atmosphere was just like being in the game of Clue, only there was no Colonel Mustard, or Mrs. White, or Mrs. Peacock and absolutely no murder weapons. There was however, the Library, the Kitchen, the Study, the Dining Room and the Billiard Room.  We were at the John's Hopkin's Club in Baltimore, MD and we were cordially invited by my "Step Grandmother", Jean.

Allow me to introduce you to Jean....

Jean came into the family when my dad re-married about 5 years ago. She is the mother of my dad's wife, Nancy. We adopted Jean as our own, because afterall, we do love her like a grandmother. She is every bit a part of our family and it seems as though she has always been.  Jean is a smart, caring, classy lady and she loves getting together with family. Jean became a member of the John's Hopkin's club through her late husband, Daniel. He was a graduate of John's Hopkins University and they started as Club members in the year 1949. (Please forgive me if I have the incorrect date, Jean).

My husband and I along with my sister, her husband, my Dad and wife were honored to have dinner with Jean at the John's Hopkins Club in Baltimore on Sunday. We wined and dined. We talked and laughed. We took some photos and dined again.... This relaxing, four-hour evening was truly a dining experience, complete with the works!

A little bit about the John's Hopkins Club...

The Club is "private" and is tucked away in a secluded location on the Campus of John's Hopkins University.

The John's Hopkin's Club was officially organized in December 1899, with 260 charter members.

The Club includes a membership of both men and women, restricted to alumni, faculty, and full-time graduate students of Johns Hopkins University. The Club is now home to over 4,000 members.

I am certain that Jean does not have a computer, and my only hope is that she will see this post on my Dad's NEW computer!! We want to offer our thanks to Jean for the most wonderful evening. The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. The staff was professional and attentive and the company was awesome! We can't thank you enough, Jean and we love you!

Love your life's little words of wisdom. I gave my Mom a journal jar last Christmas (as I have blogged about). She has put it in a journal book, and has also decided to write one for my siblings. Major regret that we didn't know about this while her Mom was stil living. Because she was a very remarkable woman.
