Lake Raystown

In the beginning of August, we took a mini vacation to Lake Raystown in Entriken, PA. This 8,000 acre lake is Pennsylvania's best kep secret. It is tucked away in the mountains of Huntingdon County and is very secluded. The lake is maintained by the Army Corp of Engineers. There is only one Resort on the entire lake, which offers a water park, pool, mini golf, sandy beaches, lake swimming & recreation area, dining, boat rentals, sightseeing tours, camping, lodging, etc. We were able to pack a ton of activities into our two-day fun filled family adventure, including hiking through nearby Trough Creek State Park.  Take a look at the 3 minute slideshow below.

Oops, the internet ate my comment - anyway, great pics! I love learning about these hidden vacation spots in the MD/DC/PA area. And fab blog header, though I miss Mr. or Ms. Bird.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Your new page looks super -- I especially like the header, but that slide show was the best! The music was perfect and the pictures were sharp, clean and FUN.
