Lil' Mouse is our "squeeky clean" hostess for this Fun Monday and this is what she has asked the participants to share:
What is your least favorite chore? Vacuum get you down? Dust bunnies saying, “oh yeah, you and what army?” Is there a chore that you neglect doing it until the absolute last minute when guests arrive? Do you just pray they won’t look ‘there’? Are you going green with your cleaning? Top tips?
I am a neat freak and not so much a clean freak. Cleaning is over rated. I have no schedule when it comes to cleaning and doing my household chores. I just clean when I feel the house needs cleaning. And I complete my daily chores (aka, laundy, unloading dishwasher, putting clothing away, etc.) like a robot performs a routine maintenance check-up. However, there is one cleaning chore that I do almost daily and that is vacuum. Due to my most loveable and adorable 107 lb. yellow lab, Cooper, who sheds hair that flies onto the furniture, under the furniture, gets stuck to the bottom of your shoes and clings to your clothing, the need to vacuum daily is a must! Embiggen the photo below and you will see the dog hair clinging to the rug. Ewww!
Rest assure though, you can ask any family member or friend that has ever come to my home and they will tell you that the Church Lady has a clean home! They just don't look hard enough to see the real dirt!
There is one cleaning utensil that I use ALOT. It is called the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I blogged about it last year and I have re-posted it here:

Now, before you feel the need to get your chores done, sweep on over to Lil' Mouse to see what the other participants are sharing!

It does all that. I suppose you can't just set by the chore just like you set it in the toilet bowl.
I must try that -- the toilet ring trick. We have hard water.
You know... I got anxiety reading that list. ha ha ha ha
Oh, thanks for the closeup of my favorite Hairball Cooper! Question: do you like your Mr. Clean Magic? :-)
Have you tried all these or is it just a list? I'd love to know if the toilet one really works? We have had a lot of water issues in this place and our landlady wont fix things. WE told her the bath was broken about 4 months ago, but the shower still works and she said she'd get to it. Hubs finally bought the piece and fixed it 2 weeks ago and we can fill our baby's bath normally now. What a pain. Anyway, the chlorine things you put in the back of a toilet tank kill the little plastic ring that keeps a toilet flushing properly? so if you use those, which are GREAT otherwise, well, you have a lot of water bills from a constantly flushing toilet.I'd love to know if the magic eraser has been tried by you! One thing I did NOT see on your list was scrubbing the lid of your kitchen trash can that gets grimy from food stuff/coffee grounds, etc. Ours new a mr clean eraser like BADLY right now! I'll have to put it on my list! Thanks for playing!
Hm, ours needs a a mr clean eraser, not new!
You didnt mention if Mr Magic eraser vacums for you! LOL... I have only used magic eraser to get scuff marks off and it does a nice job. That is quite the list for something that is so cheap!
I think you just sold me a magic eraser!
I have the same ideas about a clean house, and vacuum for this cute doggie must be fun !
The Magic Eraser is perfect, I hope it comes along with a "removing" person, lol !
Wow, that really is a miracle worker! My own cleaning problem is I'm a surface cleaner. I wait way too long in-between hard-core cleaning.
Hello my friend! First off - I really do think we may be twins. If I weren't already married, I would elope with Mr.Clean and the Magic Erasers...because there is NOTHING that they cannot fix. (Except the world. In which case I'd need to ask if FW could come over. Awesome world-fixing and Honey-Do list, btw.)
And your (gorgeous) dog is named Cooper? That name has been in my Top Five list for my (future) dog for, well, forever. (Yes, I come up with names for pets I don't have yet. On an unrelated note, why are the windows all stripy in here, and why is this jacket so tight?)
And don't worry about dog hair in the house. I have a refrigerator magnet that says "No outfit is complete without cat hair." And that is so true. Plus, as I would say to anyone who dared complain about fur or feathers in my house: The animals live here, sunshine, and you don't! So there ;-)
Anyway - I have now missed TWO, count 'em, TWO fabulous FM topics. I have to get my head back in the game. I loved reading your answers - thank you and Happy FM to you!
I hate to scrub floors and dust...
wow magic eraser does tons
Oh I can't figure out how to follow Lil Mouse any suggestions!!
That's me...neat freak!!! hahaha too funny! Great post, love the magic eraser!
I would vaccum daily for that dog, too. He's adorable.
The reason we bought a miniature schnauzer was because he doesn't shed. Then we inherited a cat. Oh well.
Mr. Magic is wonderful. I have a little artist at home who loves to draw grafetti on my walls but with the help from Mr. Magic, my walls stay clean.
Magic Erasers are the best! I need to try some of what you listed.
